This class focuses on the martial discipline of armored combat, where students will learn the fundamentals of swordsmanship — including stance, strikes, footwork, and defensive techniques. Students will be taught how to wield a sword with precision, agility, and timing, with guidance from expert instructor Jaye Brooks Sr. The class covers both offensive and defensive maneuvers, drawing from real armored combat applications.
This is a physically demanding class that requires balance, strength, and coordination. Students will be expected to move fluidly with their sword, practicing combinations of attacks, parries, and blocks. Expect high-intensity drills and controlled sparring. Students will learn to read distance, time their strikes, and defend effectively. Bring a water bottle and come ready to sweat.
